Will be back

We’ve stayed at Crown for years, but after an abysmal experience on our last visit, my husband, toddler, and I decided to try the Pan Pacific instead.
We were impressed from the moment we parked. A staff member who had just finished their shift saw us and helped carry our pram up the stairs, then walked us all the way to the lobby. The front desk and bar staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Our room was clean, neat, quiet, and peaceful. We asked for a cot and had a sturdy wooden one set up in the room within half an hour of checking in. Breakfast was good, not the absolute best buffet we’ve ever had, but definitely solid.
Overall, a great experience and we’ll very likely be back.

Dear Johansen Family,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Pan Pacific Perth. We are delighted to learn that you chose to stay with us and that your visit met your expectations, particularly after your previous experiences elsewhere.
It is heartening to hear that our staff made a positive impression on you upon your arrival. We pride ourselves on our team’s commitment to guest service, and it is gratifying to know that their assistance with your pram and their attentiveness at the front desk contributed to your overall experience. Your acknowledgment of their efforts will surely motivate them further.
We are pleased that you found your room to be clean, neat, and peaceful. A restful atmosphere is essential for our guests, and we are glad that we could provide that for you and your family. Furthermore, we appreciate your feedback regarding the cot setup; our team strives to meet the needs of our guests promptly, and it is wonderful to know that they were able to accommodate your request swiftly.
While we are glad that you enjoyed your breakfast, we also appreciate your constructive feedback regarding our buffet offerings. We continually assess our dining options to enhance the overall guest experience and your insights will be taken into consideration.
Thank you once again for your kind words and for choosing Pan Pacific Perth. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back in the future.

Very disappointing for a five star hotel

Very disappointing for a five star hotel. Booked through booking.com as rang as I usually do and it was cheaper on booking.com. Just before we were due to come get a message saying pool being renovated.. room we booked doesn’t have a bath ..145 per night upgrade fee. No thanks. Used steam room on first night and tonight that’s not working either. Got another two nights here.. what else can go wrong? Thumping footsteps in room above .. need ear plugs to sleep. Certainly doesn’t fit five star for me. Should have read a few more reviews.

Dear Oskar B,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I was genuinely disappointed to read your comments, particularly as you are still with us and your stay has clearly not unfolded as either you or we would have wished.
I fully appreciate that it is rarely one issue in isolation that defines an experience. In your case, the pool renovation, your experience with the steam room, the concerns surrounding your room and the rates you observed, together with the noise disturbance from above, have collectively left you questioning the standard of your stay. I am sorry that this has been your experience.
With regard to the pool, the renovation has been communicated for several months across our direct booking channels and through our online travel agency partners so that guests are made aware of the temporary closure prior to arrival. Nevertheless, I appreciate that this information may not always be as prominent during the booking journey as we would wish, particularly when reservations are made through third party platforms. I am sorry that the closure came as a disappointment to you.
Following your comments regarding the steam room, we also inspected the newly renovated facility and confirmed that it is operating correctly. The steam function is controlled by a timed activation system, which needs to be engaged at the commencement of use. On reflection, it is possible that this was not activated during your visit. If so, I appreciate that its operation may not have been sufficiently intuitive or clearly communicated, and we will review this with our team to ensure guests are better assisted.
I also noted your comments regarding the guest room rate and the pricing you subsequently observed online. While we work closely with our online travel agency partners in relation to pricing, third party platforms may from time to time display rates or promotional offers that differ from those originally booked. This can understandably be frustrating when viewed after a reservation has been confirmed. For future stays, I would always encourage booking through our direct channels, which provide the clearest access to our own available rates, guest room categories and inclusions, and allow our team to assist directly with the most suitable options.
While there is context surrounding several of the matters you have raised, that does not diminish the overall impression they have created for you. We have a responsibility not only to provide the facilities and services expected of us, but also to communicate them clearly and ensure that our guests feel genuinely cared for throughout their stay.
As you still have time remaining with us, I would much rather we have the opportunity to improve your experience while you are here than simply respond to your concerns after your departure. I have therefore asked our team to review your stay and make contact with you directly to see what we can reasonably do to make your remaining time at Pan Pacific Perth more comfortable.
Thank you again for bringing your concerns to my attention. I sincerely hope we can leave you with a considerably better impression of Pan Pacific Perth than the one you have experienced thus far.
Sincerely Yours,

Fantastic Stay !

Recently stayed at the Pan Pacific Perth for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the lovely bathroom amenities. The concierge staff were a real highlight and they deserve to be commended for their excellent customer service throughout our stay. The buffet breakfast was terrific with a wide variety of food on offer and barista coffee included. We had a hire car and the included parking next door was convenient and worked well. Would happily stay here again.

Mixed experience: Great anniversary touch but let down by noise and service gaps
We stayed at the Pan Pacific Perth for our 20th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, the reception staff gave us a lovely complimentary room upgrade, which we deeply appreciated and made for a great start to our trip. The room itself was clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
However, our stay was disrupted by a few notable issues. On Thursday morning, we were woken up by loud, heavy banging from the floor above that lasted for about half an hour, sounding like furniture being moved. We attempted to report this to reception immediately by phone, but the call went unanswered after multiple tries, so we eventually gave up.
Additionally, we experienced a minor maintenance issue with the in-room technology. The TV remote control had no functioning volume control. Every time we turned the television on, it would default to zero sound, which became quite frustrating.
Overall, the property is clean and the check-in service was highly attentive, but the missed phone calls during a noise disruption and the faulty remote control pulled our experience down to an average stay. It is a good property, but management needs to ensure room electronics are fully checked and that front-desk communication remains responsive to guests in their rooms.
