Probably the best hotel of its kind around Linz

We have been visiting this destination for years for family reasons. The warm welcome from the hotel owner as well as the quality of the stay ensure that we are not looking for other destinations and are as always very satisfied with the time spent there.

A beautiful farm near Linz!

We were stopping by Linz and found a lovely farm not far from the city center. We were given a large 3 bed apartment, very clean and very comfortable. The farm was beautiful with a large outside area available to guests including a children playground. The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating and helped us find a good restaurant for dinner. The breakfast was not very rich but of a very good quality. The price was reasonable. Overall the experience was very satisfactory, we would recommend staying in this farm for families with or without children.

Übernachtung - Geschäftsreise

Die Wahl ist diesmal nicht auf ein Stadthotel gefallen sondern auf eine gemütliche ruhig gelegene* Unterkunft. Eigentlich wirklich als Ferienappartments gedacht, großes Bad & Zimmer mit Kitchenette, seperates WC. *Die Lage ist wirklich auf dem freien Land und man kann einen weiten Blick geniessen. In warmen Monaten abends ein Glas Wein im Garten, da kommt man gerne wieder.

Die rettende Unterkunft in herrlicher Lage

War auf dem Weg nach Wien und hatte eigentlich vor zu zelten. Mangels Campingplatz und nahender Nacht habe ich mich per Booking wirklich in letzter Minute für das Waldbothgut entschieden und per Anruf noch Bescheid gegeben, dass ich etwas später komme. Die Eigentümerin war bereits am Telefon sehr freundlich und nach einigen Minuten über ein paar abenteuerliche Landstraßen hat sie mir die Tür zum Waldbothgut geöffnet, welches ein ehemaliger Gutshof zu sein scheint. Sehr gepflegt, riesengroß und die Lage am Waldrand mit Blick Richtung Linz ließ mich an Romane denken, die vor dem 19. Jahrhundert spielen. Es war echt traumhaft schön. Das Zimmer war nicht nur sehr sauber, sondern auch angenehm groß und gut beleuchtet. Da der Tag sehr anstrengend war, habe ich auch bald schon tief, fest und sehr gut geschlafen. Das Frühstück gibt es im kleinen (es sind drei Tische vorhanden) Speiseraum, der an die Küche grenzt. Hier serviert die Eigentümerin persönlich ein frisches Frühstück, welches der Lage auf dem Land entsprechend ist und dadurch sehr köstlich war. Selbstgemachte Marmelade, frisches Gemüse und Obst, dazu ein nettes Gespräch mit der Eigentümerin. Das Waldbothgut ist ein Ort, an dem die Zeit kurz still zustehen scheint, wer ältere Jugendbücher im Stil von "Fünf Freunde" kennt, kann sich hier prima in das Leben von Julian, Dick, Anne und George versetzen. Ein Hotelaufenthalt wie er im Buche stehen könnte. Ich bedauere, dass ich nur auf der Durchreise war, bin aber sehr froh, keinen Campingplatz gefunden zu haben und diesen malerischen Ort und die österreichische Herzlichkeit kennen zu lernen. Falls es mich mal wieder nach Linz verschlägt, komme ich definitiv ins Waldbothgut.
