Located in the centre of Riga, Central Hostel is just a 10-minute walk from the Old Town. It offers heated rooms. Free Wi-Fi access is available in the entire building. Guests have access to the kitchen where they can cook meals.

The staff and other patrons were very nice!! It’s a cool vibe. The bathroom wasn’t very clean and the drain didn’t work so well so that was a downside. Additionally, the keypads on the doors are extremely loud and the walls are thin.
Great location and good value for money!

WARNING: THEFTS AND TOTAL LACK OF SECURITY ⚠️

This place is NOT suitable for tourists. It operates as a long-term residence: there are people who live there for months and even families. This creates a completely different atmosphere from that of a tourist hostel.
Security is nonexistent. I left my belongings in a safe and someone opened it and stole everything, which shows that the codes are not secure and that the people living there know them.
In addition, there are drunk and unconscious people at the entrance, which creates a constant feeling of insecurity.
Cleanliness is terrible. The bathrooms and showers are not cleaned regularly: I found a razor with hair in the shower and, after three days, it was still in exactly the same place.
In the kitchen, people do not properly clean plates and glasses: they simply rinse them briefly with water and put them back, which is very unhygienic.
I do not recommend it under any circumstances.

Good room for the price, sort of apartment like with shared bathroom and common rooms.
Nice to have access to kitchen and free coffee in the morning
