Zen jungle paradise

For those seeking serenity, excellent food and service, escaping from New York snow storm, and recovering from the superflu, Una Vida will tick all the boxes! My Maltese terrier and I stayed in a one bedroom suite from 12/23-12/28 and didn’t have to leave the premises much with our rental car. The valet staff made sure that we did not have to lift a finger once I arrived at the hotel; they even wiped the luggage to make sure they didn’t stay wet from the rain. Maura also helped with the booking of an excellent vet for the screwworm test. I have frequently the top resorts in the Maldives before getting the dog and Una Vida came really close to those experience. Too bad that the airlines will no longer fly directly from Newark so getting to the paradise will take a little bit more time!

Una Vida Hotel in Tulum is an excellent place to stay.
I live in San Francisco and have traveled to many beautiful destinations, and Una Vida truly stands out for its peaceful atmosphere, thoughtful design, and warm hospitality. It feels private, elegant, and deeply connected to the natural beauty of Tulum.
The hotel offers the perfect balance of comfort, style, and relaxation. I highly recommend Una Vida to anyone visiting Tulum and looking for a memorable, authentic, and beautiful stay.

Great hotel with added benefits of shared amenities from the Hotel Bardo and Hotel Milam. Staff we super friendly and helpful.

There are bugs in the room. The pool water is dirty, and there is a lack of consideration for guests; it seems the hotel is only focused on making money. It is not worth the price. I recommend not going.

We absolutely love Una Vida—so much so that we’ve spent our last two March Break vacations here. It’s a beautiful, tranquil oasis on the edge of town, with a stunning property and exceptional staff.
My wife especially enjoyed the daily morning yoga, while our son looked forward to relaxing by the pool in the evenings. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between peaceful retreat and easy access to everything Tulum has to offer.
The staff truly make the experience. They are incredibly helpful—whether it’s booking beach clubs, recommending restaurants, or simply making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive.
A great added bonus is access to their two sister properties (both adults-only), which guests can also enjoy.
We highly recommend Una Vida and look forward to returning again.
