Nice space, but lack of nattero ruined the stay
We have stayed at Solstrand Camping for three days, but unfortunately consider going home before your stay is over.
The campsite is beautifully located, but the experience has been ruined by an extreme noise level. We are an ordinary family with children of 5 and 7 years old, and expected it would be possible to get some nattero.
All three nights, there has been loud noise far out at night. Both teenagers and adults have stayed out, talking out loud, yelling, cycling and riding a scooter right outside our caravan. We courteously tried to ask for a little peace of mind because the kids slept, but it didn’t help. The last night there was noise until around 3:00, and our children woke up several times.
For us, it does not seem like there is any kind of silence or noise monitoring in the evening. We therefore do not recommend this campsite to families with young children or others who wish to sleep before 01-02.
We also experienced that the sanitary facilities smelled sewage every time we visited them, and the cleanliness could have been better.
A plus is the dinner with barbecue, which was very nice.
We also responded to how tight the caravans are. Several places you have to go over other people's drag and carpets to get out. There is little practical experience, and we left with a feeling that the area is very dense if an emergency should arise.
All in all, this is a campsite with a great location, but for our family the lack of nightlife and the experience of poor accommodation for families with young children weighs more than the positive.

Bad experience and no response
Unfortunately we had a bad experience at Solstrand Camping. We had booked tent space, but when we arrived we saw a place that was right next to a cabin. So close that it felt like we were going to break up the tent on the cabin plateau. There was no kind of privacy, and this is something we have never experienced on other campsites we have visited. It seems like they would get as many as possible into the place for more money, so we perceived it when tent number is placed on someone else's cabin...
Because of this we chose to travel on and book another camping. We tried to contact the campsite to find a solution or that we wanted the money back as it did not match the online map, but we never got any answer. Lack of customer service when a problem arises is, in my opinion, a big red flag.
It is also worth noting that the campsite is alcohol-free. This is clear, though, as the campsite is run as a Christian and alcohol-free campsite, but the information could have been much clearer before booking. For many, it is a natural part of the holiday to be able to enjoy a glass of wine or a beer at the tent in the evening.
We therefore chose to go somewhere else and will not visit Solstrand Camping again.

Fin camping
Quiet and quiet place. Relatively reasonable. Parts of the "hybel building" were recently renovated. Lacking the opportunity to store refrigerants in the apartment, not everyone who finds it okay to share on a refrigerator in the common areas. Is common shower and tub, but the showers were quite narrow, and it was a little crack to weigh clothes on while you shower. I don't see how two strangers can shower here at the same time in a dignified way. Outside of this, the facility is very idyllic, with access to the river.

Guests can clean before check-out or pay a final cleaning fee. Please let Solstrand Camping know your expected arrival time in advance.
