Inconsistent Alcohol Policy and Unfair Security Check
Good day,
I would like to share my experience at this hotel because it really ruined my day from the moment I arrived.
The first issue was with the security staff from United Security Services. The security guard refused to give me his name when I asked. I had one bottle of alcohol with me. This is not my first time staying at this hotel—I have visited many times before and have always brought a bottle without any problems. However, this time they stopped me and told me it was not allowed.
The manager, Mayak, spoke politely and professionally, but I still don’t understand why the policy was different this time if it had been allowed during my previous visits.
What disappointed me the most was that the security guard only asked to scan my bags, while other guests were allowed to walk through without having their bags checked. That made me feel I was being treated differently, which was not acceptable.
The only positive part of my experience was the receptionist. She was very kind, professional, and did her best to provide good service.
My review is simply to let future guests know that if you plan to bring alcohol with you, be aware that the policy may be enforced inconsistently.

Excellent experience
I had an excellent stay at Movenpick hotel doha. The location is perfect, with easy access to corniche,souq waqif and many attractions. My room was spacious, comfortable and exceptionally clean. Despite being in a central area the hotel was very quiet allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. The service was outstanding especially John at the main entrance who was always welcoming, professional and eager to help. I highly recommend this hotel.
